New Zepp concert hall opens in Kuala Lumpur in 2022


Japanese entertainment group Zepp Hall Network Inc. has announced the new Zepp Kuala Lumpur Concert Hall, which will open in the second quarter of 2022.

Announced today (November 29), this place is planned for the still incomplete downtown of Bukit Bintang. It is a subsidiary of Sony Music Entertainment (Japan) and will mark Zepp’s 11th concert hall in the region.

The medium-sized concert hall will accommodate up to 2,500 participants in its 6,000 square meters. It will include a standing area, stadium seating arrangement and VIP boxes.

Zepp Chairman Akira Uehara said in a statement that the upcoming venue “will serve as a center of cultural exchange between Malaysia and Japan.”

“Our international expansion is also another way to help event industries around the world deliver a one-stop solution for any mid-sized event,” Uehara added.

Bukit Bintang city center is a future integrated hub in the city of Kuala Lumpur. As of this month, the project is still in development.

The hub will include a strata office, a five-star hotel, luxury service residences, a lifestyle shopping center, a grand bazaar as well as catering establishments.

Zepp Kuala Lumpur marks the brand’s latest adventure in Southeast Asia. The brand currently has nine locations in Japan and one in Taiwan. From 2017 to 2019, they operated Zepp @ ​​BIGBOX in Singapore.
