Smooth jazz trumpeter Chris Botti will open the Bastille outdoor concert series on Saturday in Hanford.
Botti, who won a Grammy Award in 2012 for Best Instrumental Pop Album (“Impressions”), has worked with some of the biggest names in the music industry – Sting, Barbra Streisand, Josh Groban, Michael Buble, Paul Simon, Joni Mitchell, John Mayer, Andrea Bocelli, Steven Tyler and Frank Sinatra.
“I don’t know where I would be without my association with Sting. He’s like my big brother and like family,” Botti said. “He is the closest friend you could wish for and has been the most important and influential person in my career.”
Botti’s concert marks the return of Scottland Concerts and the original 1995 outdoor concert series from JazzConcerts.com at the Bastille in Hanford.

All advance tickets and fresh “take out” food and “prepackaged” drinks, including craft beer and wine, are sold exclusively online before the show. Additional drink tickets can be purchased on site in cash only.
Concert guests of all ages will first select the number of seats to purchase, then receive a SECOND OPTION to “buy tickets” for individual optional food and drink and quantities prior to departure and payment by credit card. credit.
During the day of the concert, the box office will provide a simple bracelet for each ticket and keep your tickets waiting for food and drinks. This advanced COVID-19 protocol allows seamless delivery of all items once inside the site.
The Bastille patio will be open in advance and the doors to the main concert hall will open at 6 p.m., approximately one hour before the show time.
Botti’s performance will include a brief intermission and the concert will end at 10 p.m.
Ample free parking is available throughout Main Street Hanford. The entrance to the Bastille is at 320 N. Douty St. near Superior Dairy. Toilets and hand washing stations are located inside the concert hall.
