PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG / WECP) – A new location in Bay County is ready for your next event.
The Sapp House, an iconic historic home in downtown Panama City, recently underwent major renovations.
The restoration process for this building came after the county considered turning the space into a parking lot.
The county had the first right of refusal; however, allowed private investors to buy the property and restore it instead.
Thanks to these renovations, the century-old house can now host many gatherings and parties.
“Over the past year, we have completely repaired and brought the Sapp house back, I believe, to pristine condition. We have modernized some things but we have tried to keep a certain charm, what is new here. news will be the stories, news will be the people who will gather here, celebrate their birthdays, celebrate their weddings, have their rehearsal dinners. it will be the new things that really add to the history of the Sapp house. It’s a century-old house, ”said Allan Branch, co-owner of The Sapp House.
For those who wish to see the newly renovated site up close, there will be a limited open house on February 20. For more information, you can visit the website of the site.
