WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — The Wichita State University (WSU) Shockers home field at Charles Koch Arena will be transformed into the stage when Wale comes to perform next month.
His concert is scheduled for Friday, April 15 at 8 p.m. Doors will open at 7 p.m.
Wale is a Grammy-nominated rap star, actor, and lawyer. In a press release, WSU describes: “An old-school lyricist with new-school energy, otherworldly hooks and a sense of irony tailor-made for his own episode of Seinfeld, he is instantly distinguished.” He also made history as the first rapper to open the State of the Union for President Obama’s final State of the Union address.
Advanced tickets will cost $10 for WSU students, $18 for faculty and staff, and $25 for the general public. All-day tickets will cost $25.

The concert is intended for ages 18 and older.
