Shows that were to christen the story later this month have been canceled

Drake’s helmet Story – a new concert hall on Queen Street East in collaboration with Living country – seems to be late in fashion, the first concerts scheduled for this month having been canceled.
Initially launched in June, the 2,500-seat hall now seems to have quietly canceled its inaugural concerts. Baltimore pop-punk group All Time Low was scheduled to be the first act to perform on October 22, followed by Allan Rayman on October 23, along with Rival Sons and Noah Kahan before the month is out. All of these shows now appear as canceled on Ticketmaster.
All Time Low apologized to fans on Twitter, citing Ontario’s COVID-19 capacity restrictions as the reason for the cancellation.
âTo our fans in Toronto, we are devastated to write another post like this, but unfortunately the 22nd show was canceled,â the group wrote. “We had anticipated the Covid [sic] capacity restrictions in Ontario are now lifted, but they are not and we are unable to host an event of [sic] big like that. “
On Friday, October 8, the Ontario government announced that concerts and theaters would return to 100% capacity, but details on which spaces this new policy applies to are still unclear. The Press release says “select settings” and seems to specify large-scale concert halls among those affected – but if story cancellations are any indication, we might not have the full story here.
Some fans are speculating that COVID restrictions aren’t the real reason these events were called off, theorizing that the new venue is not yet complete. Rayman shared the news of his History show’s cancellation on September 30, tweeting a screenshot of an email – presumably from someone there – that said they “will definitely not be open. in October”.
At the time of going to press, November’s performances in History still appear to be going as planned, starting with Passenger on November 1.
See Friday’s (October 8) tweet from All Time Low – posted just hours before the Ontario government’s full capacity announcement – and Rayman’s receipts below.
We promise to come back ASAP to catch up with you. All tickets will be refunded, please contact your ticket supplier or the box office with any questions.

Strange timing, but the Ontario government has literally announced that it is allowing sites to return to 100% of their capacity, starting tomorrow ð³ https://t.co/wv3Tm9WoV3

Maybe Drake’s (and Weeknd’s) researchers can crack the code on this once the new college class is in session?
